Arts at the Abbey Extra: Helene Lazartigues, flute

Helene Lazartigues, a professional flutist from France, presents a concert in the wonderful acoustics of Abbey Basilica. Music includes works by J.S. and C.P.E. Bach, Telemann, the “World premiere” of a work by J.R. Combes-Damiens and the haunting Syrinx by Claude Debussy. Lazartigues offers a journey through time in the evolution of the flute. Her curiosity and desire to share has taken her to Canada, Cuba, and Australia.
