Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden

I can't believe the public relations spin that's occurring. Stop half-truthing excuses as to why your conservatory plants are tipped over, dried up or dead! People who are in the business of plants clearly can grow plants. Why can't those at Daniel Stowe handle it?

And, please clean up the weedy mess in that one "garden" with the bridge by the circle walkway. Some horticulturists from Clemson I'm sure could come in and actually make it presentable again.

I think DSBG staff should take an in-depth field trip to either the SC Botanical Gardenin Clemson, or the JC Raulston Arboretum or Duke Gardens so they know what a botanical garden should at a minimum be.

This is NOT worth the drive.

Four years ago the photos of the gardens were spectacular, and the first opening of hte convservatory were sights of beauty. Now the garden beds aren't in flower, bare ground in between annuals that obviously haven't been watered over the summer, and there are chopped plants, white bugs and dirty paths and windows in the conservatory.

Who or WHAT is in charge of this dump?
