Angels of '97 Benefit Luncheon

The North Mecklenburg High School Class of 1997 lost several of their classmates during their 10th and 12th grade years. The five “Angels” left lasting impressions on the community of North Mecklenburg. Family members and friends host an annual community involved spaghetti dinner to honor its “Angels” and use the money raised to provide scholarships to North Mecklenburg and Hopewell HS Seniors. Angels of ’97 has grown in the past years to provide over $300,000 to local high school students to assist with higher education. The organization has expanded over the years to outreach to other families in our community which have suffered the loss of a child or sibling. Additionally, Angels of ’97 has received 501(c)3 status.
