If you are interested in eating a cold steak and or diver scallops smothered in cream, for the small fee of $250 per couple, then this is the place for you. The wine cellar is not cold, so if you like your cabs or pinots served close to boiling point, you'll also enjoy this Charlotte gem. Just when you thought that charlotte had enough steak houses, blt steak comes along and wows us with a pretentious, uninviting, and extremely over-rated addition. Over-rated - clap, clap, clap, clap, clap. Zero stars.

First off, I think it is a testament to the Charlotte dining scene and the Q.C.'s growth that we have a Ritz Carlton and a true national player like Laurent Tourondel in our fair city. Neither of those deals would happen in today's economic climate. The food? It's a great steak. I don't know about a $50 steak...but heck..Beef and Bottle has hit $30bux and BLT is better than Ruth's, Capital and Certainly Del Friscos (same price). The sides are the stars, they're unique. Ambience? Classy. One of the finest upfits in the city. Wine list is indicative of it's position @ the top of the food chain. Now, if they'd only get their relationship with the Ritz worked out so that you could take said wine/cocktail in the lobby....The place isnt for me, everyday...can't afford that (don't worry...Rooster's opens next door in 2010 to fill that check average niche). But for a special occasion...it's better than the rest of the carnivore clubs.
