You need better business practices

I am very disappointed with McBonies business practices and respect for it's customers. I have only eaten lunch/dinner at McBonies once, but I really enjoyed the fried pork chop dinner. The waitress' attitude and attire left much to be desired but we as a group enjoyed ourselves. Since then I decided to get a couple of their gift certificates off Restaurant.com website to show my friends and family what a cool little spot it was to have lunch/dinner and above all to patronize our local black owned business. However, to my surprise after sitting down to eat and placing my gift certificate on the table for my waitress to see as instructed by the many signs that were posted on the front door, walls and pillars inside. We were told that the gift certificates would not be honored because the owner and Restaurant.com were "having issues." I asked how that would affect me being that I had made a purchase that should be honored and had nothing to do with their (the owner & Restaurant.com's) issues. The waitress who later explained that she was also a manager (wearing skin tight jeans cut to show the back of her entire right thigh) explained "I don't want y'all to get mad at me, I'm just telling you what he said." I told her that I thought that this was unacceptable and this response and no attempt to appease someone who clearly wanted to patronize their business was not good business practice. She said that she was sorry, shrugged her shoulders and that was it. Let me explain something. We (black people) always complain that black dollars don't stay in our communities as they should and I firmly believe this myself. This is exactly why I decided to get the Gift Certificates and patronize the business. However, some of the same black owned business' who complain about us not spending our dollars in our community fail to give us the same or better customer service that we would find outside the community. I would not have had this same response or issue had I gone to Chili's, Shoney's, Golden Coral or Bojangles for that matter. These establishments would have at the very least offered a discount on my meal or free drinks for my inconvenience. Anything would have been better than a girl from around the way, half clothed, popping gum and patting her weave telling me that the owner and Restaurant.com were "having issues." Be professional, be courteous, be customer service oriented and most of all be respectful of the people coming into your establishment to spend their hard-earned money. They chose you out of all the other restaurant/bars in Charlotte, respect and honor that. The last I heard, without us, there is no you.

Endless Potential

I have seen a lot of nice changes to the place but there is a lack of professionalism with staff. The bartenders are not trained properly, they do not have a drink menu and the manager is not to professional either.I must admit the food is awesome but it depends on whos working in the kitchen that day.Would be a nicer place if it was more open to a more diverse crowd.

The food here is nasty and the establishment is even nastier...there are bugs everywhere and a visible fly problem. The drinks are just OK. The service however is GREAT!! Too bad it is being wasted on a dump!!!
