Barbecue in plain digs, with a few interesting twists.

why?

There’s also the Clark Griswold: 2-1/2 pounds of barbecue atop two buns, with slaw, pups and one side, for $19.99. Eat all of it within an hour, and it’s free; plus, you get your picture on the wall...........considering 1/4 lb. is a serving size, eating 10 times that amount, and two buns? and pups!?

stupid is, as stupid does.

Excellent BBQ

I frequent Sauceman's once a week or so and haven't been disappointed since the new menu rolled out. Prices are reasonable, BBQ is great, but I recommend the spicier sauce - the vinegar is lacking in flavor for me. We took our family from out of town and the ribs were loved by all - full rack, lots of meet, perfectly smoky and very tender! The article fails to mention those little fried dough things which alone are worth visiting this restaurant for!!

Great little BBQ spot

Really enjoyed ourselves, unique selection, staff warm and friendly, good beer selection, sandwiches and desert very good! BTW: If you're not into pork try the turkey - Wow!

No BBQ today, but the burgers were exceptional

So, because of this story, they were completely out of chopped pork and ribs tonight. So, we had to opt for burgers. We got one with cheddar, American, and Boursin cheese and another with Pimento cheese and fried pickles. Both were served on Texas toast, and both were amazing - juicy, 1/2 pounders seasoned well and with a smoky grilled flavor. I was really impressed actually...I figured the burger would be a second rate item to the BBQ but they were actually wonderful.

In my neck of the woods, a Boston Butt is boned out and the shoulder has the bone in. The shoulder is a better choice IMO.

Ribs....try I will.

A Boston Butt is a pork shoulder.

But I do agree that spare ribs are much better than baby backs.

Worth a try

I have been here several times. Some items are great others a little to desire. Worth a try.
