A selection of paintings by the Blue Ridge Realists, who are a part of an artistic movement developed in western North Carolina in the 1970’s based on rural realism, inspired by man and his connection to the regional landscape. The 10 painters in this group are Bob Timberlake, Ward Nichols, Cotton Ketchie, Jack Greenfield, Phillip Philbeck, John Furches, Gary Freeman, Richard Oversmith, Scott Boyle and Frederick Craig Franz.
