Larry, Larry, Larry. You were correct in that The End of the World focused on different aspects than the typical end of the world sci-fi flick. Lead actors connected too. But after the first 20 minutes, when you go past the parts how others reacted to the bad news, it became dull as dirt. The pacing was slow and the script became boring. Even the scenes in jail and with the guy hiring a hit man for himself could have been better. My point is the movie should have kept the balance between serious and comedy (like in the beginning) to make it's point.
