17th Annual 24 Hours of Booty
Come ride or stride to change the course of cancer at the 17th Annual 24 Hours of Booty charity non-competitive cycling and walking event in Charlotte’s Myers Park neighborhood. Myers Park Traditional School and Queens University of Charlotte serve as home to the event’s headquarters – known as “Bootyville” – where participants camp, eat and recharge when not out on the course. Funds raised support local and national cancer beneficiaries including: Carolinas HealthCare System’s Levine Cancer Institute and Levine Children’s Hospital, Queens University of Charlotte and the LIVESTRONG Foundation. Event begins Friday July 27 at 7:00pm and ends Saturday afternoon July 28.

2018 Annual Celebration
The Arts Council of York County invites the public and the members of the Arts Council to the 40th Annual Arts Celebration on Thursday, June 28, 2018 at the Center for the Arts, 121 East Main Street, Rock Hill, at 5:30 PM. Join the Arts Council in celebrating another remarkable year for the artistic community of York County! The Annual Celebration includes highlights from the past year, along with presentations of the Ben Ardrey Volunteer Award, and the Business & the Arts Partnership Award. Immediately following the program, stay for a reception with light hors d’oeurvres and festive drinks. Justin L. Addington, the new Director of Music and Organist at St. John’s United Methodist Church, is set to perform showtunes during celebration and reception. 34th Annual Grassy Creek Mineral and Gem Show
Jul 28 to Aug 05. 2018 34th Annual Grassy Creek Mineral and Gem Show put on by the Parkway Fire and Rescue to raise funds for new equipment. 60 worldwide vendors with gems, minerals, fossils, jewelry, lapidary equipment and much more. Vendors have a 20x40 foot spot so there is lots to see. Dates are July 28th to August 5th, 2018. This is a full week show. Hours are from 10 to 6 with some vendors open earlier or later.
