GRAMMY-winning Los Texmaniacs (Smithsonian Folkways) heats up Charlotte area with “Tex-Mex Groove” at the Don Gibson Theatre

"San Antonio, Laredo, El Paso, Corpus Christi, Seguín, and other Texas towns inspired Texas Towns & Tex-Mex Sounds, the second Smithsonian Folkways Recordings release by the GRAMMY-winning “Conjunto Duro” group Los Texmaniacs. The band expands upon traditional polkas, boleros, ballads, and Western swing, to signal their creative and social relevance as ambassadors of Tex-Mex culture to the world.
