Zootastic Park

We visited with our kids, and I must say I feel the place is lacking. I think they've done a good job with the western theme "look", but the important thing should be the animals' comfort, and I felt like a lot of the enclosures, namely the tiger one, was way too small. When I asked about how they get exercise, the guide said they get to walk around on a leash in the mornings before opening. I really hope that these guys get to go live at a zoo somewhere where they have some kind of habitat to roam, besides a cage. A lot of the cages looked like they had not been cleaned in a while, and the tour, while imformative, was a little rushed, which was kind of a bummer. Our guide seemed to us more and more unprofessional as we went on. I think maybe the guided tour should just be an option. All in all an alright place, but just not big enough for the kinds of animals that they keep.

This park just opened a few months ago. I love the decor it looks like an old western town; and there was several animals to pet and feed. The entrance price was good.. best of all, they had a baby tiger there which we got to pet! Awesome, once in a lifetime experience! Glad I went and we'll defintely be visiting again. I'd love to see this place get bigger in the future. It's got a lot of potential!
