Temple Beth El's 21st Annual Comparative Religion Series

Temple Beth El's 21st Annual Comparative Religion Series

Talks/Lectures, Religious
Temple Beth El’s Comparative Religion Committee invites the entire Charlotte community to attend the 21st Annual Comparative Religion Series, “What Does God Want? and Who Speaks for God." Religious leaders representing Judaism, Unitarian Universalism, Christianity, Islam, and the Bahai faith will offer their points of view on this compelling theme. They will address such questions as: How are God's wishes revealed to humanity? Did revelation end or is it an ongoing process? Who has the authority to interpret revelation and what is the process for interpreting God's wishes? Dr. Rodney Sadler, President of Mecklenburg Ministries, and a Ph.D. in Hebrew Bible and Biblical Archaeology, will conclude the Series on March 6, with an historical perspective across denominations exploring how faith communities balance the tension between adherence to core religious text and adapting to a changing world. This Series is free and open to the public. No reservations are necessary. For more information, please call 704-366-1948 or visit
