Country, Rock
Whiskey Myers makes honest music. Loud and proud, they sing about what they know with a refreshing directness and clarity. Some call it rebel music, but it’s more like everyday soul. Their songs are stories, with characters and situations that are immediately relatable. Stories of celebration, mourning, trials and triumph. Through the quality of these songs, and their undeniable power in concert and on record, the band has attracted a devoted army of outspoken fans who pack venues, sing the band’s praises online and continue to make Whiskey Myers a growing word-of-mouth sensation.

Jesse Dayton

Country, Alternative, Rock
To call Austin's Jesse Dayton an "Americana" act makes him sound like a museum piece, when in reality, he's an alive, unabashed alt-punk-country twanger and basher and barely restrained rock'n'roller who has built a cult following since his first album, "Raisin' Cain," in 1995. He has recorded eight albums of his own, plus two soundtracks for Rob Zombie ("The Devil's Rejects," "Halloween 2"), and in 2016 has been selling a sampler CD at his merch table that includes such new songs as "Daddy Was a Badass" and a tune with one of the most country titles ever penned, "I'm at Home Gettin' Hammered (While She's Out Gettin' Nailed)." He's also he also played on some of the final recordings by Waylon Jennings, Johnny Cash, Ray Price and Glen Campbell, has also performed with Willie Nelson and Johnny Bush, filled in for Billy Zoom in X, and is on the road with John Doe in 2016, both in John's band and fronting his own act. No stranger to acting, he also wrote and directed a 2013 horror movie, "Zombex," starring Malcolm McDowell, Sid Haig, John Doe and Lew Temple ("The Walking Dead").

The Dickies

Rock
The Dickies are a legendary L.A.-based band, forming in 1977 and paving the way for a wealth of California-branded punk bands such as Green Day and The Offspring. They were the first punk band on American network TV (the Don Rickles sitcom "C.P.O. Sharkey"), and while they've delivered some memorable originals ("I'm a Chollo," "Manny, Moe & Jack," "You Drive Me Ape (You Big Gorilla)"), they're even better known for their taste in covers (the "Banana Splits" theme, Black Sabbath's "Paranoid," "She" by The Monkees and "Pretty Ballerina" by The Left Banke). If you want to look to the roots of pop-punk, Ramones aside, this is the place. In the 2010s, the band is still touring, led by original guitarist Stan Lee.

Kuinka

Americana/Roots, Folk
The name Kuinka (coo-WINK-uh) comes from the Finnish for “how”; how does a band bristling with spirited creativity continue to evolve artistically and challenge themselves while staying true to their own roots? For Kuinka, the answer comes in the form of letting go: a joyful acquiescence to their cumulative love of songwriting and shared experience, regardless of genre or instrumentation. Brothers Zach and Nathan Hamer, along with Miranda Zickler and Jillian Walker, came together in 2014 to form a unique breed of string band; one proudly defiant of preconceived notions of what fits under the label ‘Americana’. Their 2014 debut The Wild North, which propelled the band out of the woods and on to stages across the country, was followed by their 2016 breakout LP The Heartland. Both albums were recorded at the famed Bear Creek Studio in Woodinville, WA (Fleet Foxes, Metric), and led to featured performances at dozens of festivals and several successful national headlining tours.

With the snowballing trend towards electronic instrumentation in music, it's easy to forget where it all first started: on street corners with real instruments, playing for tips, that is until you've heard Too Many Zooz. One part New Orleans Jazz, one part Caribbean Calypso and two parts fun, Too Many Zooz is a three-piece "brass house" band comprised of Matt Doe, Leo P, and King of Sludge. Andy McKee

Rock, Acoustic
Andy McKee is an American finger-style guitar player with a major reputation among guitar players for his musicality and virtuosity on the acoustic guitar. His reputation stems from his YouTube videos. McKee plays the whole instrument, clacking and thumping the body, plucking the fret strings and at times working the fretboard overhand. He transforms the steel string guitar into a full orchestra via his use of altered tunings, tapping, partial capos, percussive hits and a signature two-handed technique. He’s been featured as a cover story in both Acoustic Guitar Magazine in the U.S. and Acoustic Magazine in the UK, and is also the figurehead of the unique Guitar Masters tours which has traveled the world over.

He's back in 2016 with "The Very Last Day" (Okrahoma Records/Thirty Tigers), an album rooted in gospel-tinged rock'n'roll poetry and storytelling. Whether he's singing from the perspective of a young gay man longing for his evangelical father's acceptance, or as the King of the Underworld wild with passion, his character-driven songs mine deep wells of joy and despair.

The Blasters

Rock, Blues, Country
The Blasters were formed in Downey, CA, in 1979 by Phil and Dave Alvin, brothers who literally learned their craft from R&B masters Big Joe Turner and T-Bone Walker. They started as a rockabilly revival, but have always been more than that. Punk was part of the mix, as are R&B, blues and mountain music. They released an auspicious debut, "American Music," in 1980 on the small Rollin' Rock label before being signed to L.A. punk label Slash Records, and their self-titled second album, from 1981, put them on the national map. The band lost its original songwriter, Dave Alvin, in 1986. Phil, the singer/rhythm guitarist, carried on, and the band currently includes two other original members drummer Bill Bateman and bassist John Bazz, along with Keith Wyatt on guitar. Their sixth and latest studio album is 2012's "Fun on Satrday Night." (By the way, the Alvins have worked together periodically since 1986, recording parts of soundtrack for a musical written by Stephen King and John Mellencamp in 2013; an album of Big Bill Broonzy's music, "Common Ground," in 2014; and "Lost Time" in 2015.)

Sons of Pitches

Country, Jazz
Always challenging their collective internal status quo with fresh ideas and new perspectives, Sons of Pitches bring their own brand of improvisation to the stage for a thrilling live event. Their instrumental country jazz originals, and unique arrangements of standards affectionately called “Cowboy Jazz,” provide a musical landscape for staking their claim and pushing on to new frontiers. It was backstage after New Year’s Eve 2015 performances at the legendary Birchmere Music Hall in Alexandria, VA when (The Hello Strangers) band-mates, guitarist/songwriter Spencer Pheil and bassist Tommy Hoy, met Dave Hadley, pedal steel extraordinaire. That night, with a mutual yearning for a musical milieu where the sky was the limit and the emphasis was improvisation, the idea took shape to make a bold statement musically. Drummer Jim Aguzzi, who had performed in many ensembles with Pheil & Hoy, was the last piece of the puzzle, bringing a wealth of musical taste, chops, and clever puns.
