Crystal Bowersox

Acoustic, Rock, Blues, Folk
The small-town, Ohio-born singer/songwriter and guitarist whose early performances began in coffeehouses and later Chicago’s underground subway circuit, was catapulted to stardom when she captured the hearts of millions as a finalist on Season 9 of "American Idol." Bowersox's rich amalgam of blues, country, folk, and rock makes eloquent use of her husky voice. She has performed with Harry Connick Jr., Joe Cocker, and Alanis Morrisette, among others.

Squirrel Nut Zippers: The First Annual Christmas Caravan Tour

Holiday Music
The Squirrel Nut Zippers are embarking on their first-ever holiday tour – The First Annual Christmas Caravan Tour. In 1998, the Zippers released their first and only holiday album, “Christmas Caravan,” which went on to sell a quarter-million copies and reached No. 12 on the Billboard Holiday Albums chart. Since reactivating in mid-2016, they’ve been performing to packed houses across the country and around the world; as Jimbo Mathus has put it, “It’s not a reunion, it’s a revival.” Meanwhile, the band is working on its first album in 17 years, to be released in 2018.

Here Come the Mummies

R&B/Soul, Funk
Not to be confused with The Mummies, the Bay Area garage band that was wearing mummy costumes in the early '90s. These guys are an eight-piece funk-rock outfit from Nashville, dressed as 5,000-year-old mummies, playing what they call Terrifying Funk From Beyond the Grave. (Or are they simply a Wrap group?) Since they were unearthed, they've opened for P-Funk, Al Green and Cheap Trick, rocked the Super Bowl Village, become regulars on "The Bob and Tom Show," and played a whole mess o' fests the last two years.

Jessica Lea Mayfield

Alternative, Folk, Rock
She's country. She's indie rock. She's folk. She’s soul. She's all of them and none of them. Jessica Lea Mayfield's sweet sound has been at once haunting and soothing, a blend of different styles that she dubs "alt. music." Her 2015 album of Elliott Smith Covers, performed with Seth Avett, won praise from NPR's Bob Boilen. She came to wide public notice in 2007, when she was heard singing "Things Ain't Like They Used to Be." on The Black Keys' album "Attack and Release." She has also recorded a grunge-alternative rock album, "Make My Head Sing," which came out in 2014.
